We are friendly, knowledgeable staff providing programs and access to information at two locations.
To receive a library card present current ID containing proof of address. Register as an adult, senior, young adult, or juvenile. TRAC cards can be used at participating Alberta libraries. Library cards are issued for free. Report lost or stolen cards and change of phone number or address.
Wireless (Wi-Fi) internet access is available at the South Branch and the North Branch of the Cold Lake Public Library. If your computer or PDA is Wi-Fi enabled, you can connect to the internet free of charge. You do not require a library card to access the wireless network, but printing from the wireless network is not available. Users of the wireless network are bound by the terms of the library's Use of Computer Policy. Users are responsible for protecting their own devices from viruses and spyware.
Each branch of the Cold Lake Public Library has public computers that are free to use. They have Microsoft Office installed on them. Printing can be done in black and white or colour. Scanning is available at no cost at each each branch as well.
The South Branch of the Cold Lake Library now has an accessible workstation for those who have visual or mobility impairments. The assistive technology includes hardware and software which facilitate internet searching, word processing and emailing. There is no cost to use this equipment.
